Our Doctrinal Commitment

We believe that the Bible is God's Word to man, that it is without error in the original writings and the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man's life.

That foundational doctrinal commitment, then, leads us to affirm the other doctrinal statements in our 12-point Statement of Faith.  Included are the doctrine of the Trinity, that God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the person and work of Christ as the Son of God who came to give His life a sacrifice for sins and rose bodily from the grave to give believers new life; and that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

Our form of church government is congregational, as we believe the local church is free to govern its own affairs without denominational restraints.  The word "Free" in our denominational name refers to this congregational form of government.
